In Monster Hunter Wilds, players can acquire Fine Windward Aloe and Great Windward Aloe to trade for Kunafa Cheese, a key ingredient that activates the Defender Meal Food Skill. This skill is particularly beneficial for Hunters seeking to reduce damage in challenging battles. This guide aims to support players in locating the Windward Aloes necessary for Kunafa Cheese and enhancing their survivability during quests.
To optimize the search for Fine and Great Windward Aloes, it is advisable for players to have at least two levels of the Geologist skill. This skill increases the chances of finding extra Special Items when gathering resources. Players can obtain the Geologist skill through various means, including Chainmail Armor and Geology Charms.
Acquiring Fine Windward Aloe in Monster Hunter Wilds
Finding Windward Succulents

Players seeking Fine Windward Aloe should fast travel to the Windward Plains, the initial ecosystem within Monster Hunter Wilds. Upon arrival, players need to access the local map and navigate to the Filter Icons menu located at the bottom-left corner of the interface. From there, they should select the “Gathering” category and scroll until they find the entry for Windward Succulent, then highlight it by selecting “Set Highlight.”

Once highlighted, all Windward Succulents will be indicated by blue dots on the map. Players should then hover over one of the marked locations and press the “Set Waypoint” option displayed at the bottom of the screen. By using the Seikret’s Auto-move Mode, initiated by pressing upward on the d-pad or tapping on the keyboard, players can automatically navigate towards their designated waypoint. They can then interact with the Windward Succulent, which grants a chance to obtain a Fine Windward Aloe.

It’s important to note that players will typically receive a standard Windward Aloe upon their first harvest from a Windward Succulent, as the “Fine”variant is less common. Luckily, there are multiple Succulents distributed across the map, which gives players repeated opportunities to find the desired Aloe. Utilizing the waypoint system and Seikret’s Auto-move Mode simplifies the search process significantly.
After harvesting, players can check the respawn timer by hovering over the icon on the map. Should they wish to gather from the same Succulent again, they must wait for the timer to complete. Alternatively, fast traveling to another area and then returning to the Plains can prompt immediate respawn of the Succulents.
