Upon embarking on your adventure in Monster Hunter Wilds, you’ll encounter a detailed character creation system. This feature allows you to personalize every aspect of both your Hunter and Palico. From physical appearance to distinctive vocal traits, the customization options are extensive, ensuring that your characters represent your individual style.
If you hurried through the character setup process, you might be surprised to hear your Palico conversing in a human-like manner. For veterans familiar with the classic Felyne dialogues from earlier installments, this shift can be a jarring experience. Fortunately, you have the option to alter your Palico’s voice, as well as adjust your Hunter’s voice, at any point in the game.
Adjusting Your Hunter’s Voice in Monster Hunter Wilds

The easiest time to modify your Hunter’s voice is during the initial character creation phase. However, if you missed this opportunity or wish to experiment with different vocalizations later, adjustments can be made anytime from your Player Tent at your camp.
To commence the modification, enter the tent and access the Appearance Menu. Select the option labeled Change Appearance, which will redirect you to the character creation interface. Choose the Hunter option to navigate to voice customization. You’ll find the Voice Pitch settings toward the bottom, presenting you with a selection of 20 unique pitches to tailor your Hunter’s vocal identity.
Additionally, within the Appearance Menu, you can adjust the visual elements of your equipment, enabling you to hide your helmet or other armor pieces if desired.
Modifying Your Palico’s Voice in Monster Hunter Wilds

You can also alter your Palico’s voice using the same character creation menu accessed from your Player Tent. Similar to the Hunter’s voice options, there are 20 voice pitches available for customization.
A significant feature of this menu is the Felyne Language toggle. According to the lore within Monster Hunter, Palicos possess the ability to communicate in human language. If this human-like speech is not to your liking, you can disable it so that your Palico reverts to its traditional Felyne dialogue.
Unlike many RPGs where character enhancements are set in stone post-creation, Monster Hunter Wilds empowers players with the flexibility to refine their Hunter and Palico characters anytime during gameplay. Whether you want to revisit the character creator to rework past choices or explore new voice options, simply return to your tent and tweak your characters to your heart’s content.
