Customization plays a key role in personalizing your Seikret, allowing players to modify its appearance and rename it. However, unlike your character’s appearance, these customization options are unlocked only through progression in the game. Below, we outline how you can customize and name your Seikret in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Customizing and Naming Your Seikret in Monster Hunter Wilds
The path to unlocking Seikret customization begins with the completion of Chapter 1-4: A Hunter’s Pride, where you’ll take on the challenge of hunting an Alpha Doshaguma. Upon defeating this formidable foe, make your way back to Kunafa in Windsong Village. Enter the village and look to the left, where you will find Nona standing near a group of Seikrets.
Interacting with Nona will open up the customization options for your Seikret. After your initial conversation, you can access these options anytime from the Appearance Menu at your tent. Although you can only have one Seikret throughout your journey, you can alter its appearance and name at any tent location, providing flexibility in your adventure.
The customization options available for your Seikret include:
- Skin Color
- Inner Feather Color
- Outer Feather Color
- Pattern Thickness
- Pattern Color
- Pattern Transparency
- Eye Color (for both eyes or individually)
- Decoration Type
- Pendant Type
While the decoration type allows modification of the saddle and gear, it is important to note that the armor selection is purely cosmetic. Additionally, part of the customization process includes naming your Seikret. The chosen name will not be vocalized in the game but will be displayed above your companion’s head. You can change its name as often as you like; just keep it within the 15-character limit.
