In an exclusive sneak peek released by People magazine on September 30, 2024, contestant Stephen Richardson was featured in a revealing conversation with Monica Davis. This segment highlighted their discussion on relationship deal breakers and past mistakes.

When 34-year-old Stephen confessed to infidelity in a previous relationship, Monica exhibited understanding, stating that not all situations are “black and white,”despite her own experiences of being cheated on in the past.

The sales executive elaborated on her capacity to forgive, despite the inherent difficulties, sharing her perspective with the following words:

“We’re all human. I’m 36 years old, like, it’s not so black and white. The experiences that I’ve had to deal with from cheating are — they are really gross, and very, very bad. Even in those situations, I’ve always found a path to forgiveness.”

In the Love is Blind clip, Stephen candidly shared that he was not proud of his past actions, including being unfaithful in his previous relationship. “Here’s what I believe: you like someone for their qualities, but you love someone for their flaws. I will divulge something that I am not very proud of it all, but I wear this brand, and I think it’s very important to be honest about it. So we’re going to talk about cheating. I technically hold the title of being a cheater. I’ve been cheated on multiple times as well.”

Stephen admitted that his actions were “disappointing”and that therapy helped him explore his underlying issues more openly. He realized that he sabotaged his relationship out of a belief that he didn’t deserve his partner, leading to his emotional unfaithfulness.

He further expressed:

“Everyone has a different concept of cheating. One person’s could be, you know, looking at someone. Someone else’s could be an actual physical act.”
