Minisforum has introduced its flagship Workstation Mini PC, the MS-A2, which harnesses the power of AMD’s Ryzen 9 9955HX 16-Core CPU, positioning it as a formidable option for professionals and enthusiasts alike.

This year saw the launch of various innovations by Minisforum, showcasing the capabilities of AMD’s Ryzen 9 9955HX CPU. Among these products, the MS-A2 Mini PC stands out, making its debut on the market and now available for purchase.

The Minisforum MS-A2 serves as an advanced Mini Workstation PC, incorporating AMD’s elite Ryzen processors. Initially released with the Ryzen 9 7945HX, the newly launched variant boasts the more powerful Ryzen 9 9955HX. Both options consist of 16 cores, with the earlier model utilizing 16 Zen 4 cores and the newer one moving to 16 Zen 5 cores. The Ryzen 9 9955HX delivers impressive clock speeds up to 5.4 GHz and boasts a substantial 64 MB of L3 cache, with a configurable TDP ranging from 55 to 75W.

While there is a Ryzen 9 9955HX3D variant often favored for mobile gaming, particularly powerful in that regard, the MS-A2 opts for the standard, non-X3D version. This Mini PC supports up to 96 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM through two SO-DIMM slots, an impressive U.2 NVMe slot with the capacity for up to 15 TB of storage, plus two PCIe 4.0 x4 slots and an additional PCIe 3.0 x4 slot, providing ample expansion opportunities.

The current pricing for the Minisforum MS-A2 featuring the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX starts at $871 for the barebone version, which is $232 more than the Ryzen 9 7945HX variant. The base model, which comes with 64 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD, is available for $1135, while the enhanced configuration with 96 GB of RAM and a 2 TB SSD is priced at $1295. Expected shipment dates are around 10th August.
