Minecraft Player Loses Bedrock Hardcore World to Glitched Baby Zombie: “Always on Bugrock”

Minecraft is full of unexpected events. Players often stumble upon intriguing items in chests, discover precious ores in caves, and face many surprises. However, some discoveries can lead to unwelcome surprises. Even after being available for more than 15 years, players frequently come across various glitches, particularly in the Bedrock Edition of the game.

A Reddit user by the name of Queasy_Policy1774 posted a video on the game’s subreddit that captured a noteworthy incident. In the clip, they were cornered in a confined area with a cobblestone block serving as a barrier in front of them.

This block kept a swarm of zombies at bay, allowing them to fend off the attackers with their swords. But just moments later, a baby zombie glitched through and unexpectedly took the player’s life.

In response to the footage, user no_need322 commented:

“always on bugrock”

This remark highlighted the frustratingly glitchy reputation of the Bedrock Edition of Minecraft, known for such erratic episodes. Another user, DreamyDollxXe, quipped that the baby zombie had given the original poster (OP) a skill check, which they ultimately failed.

JohnyMilesTheThird humorously stated the OP’s reaction time seemed to be around “three to four business days,” indicating their sluggish response might be the reason for their demise.

Ondra_38 reminisced about how the OP had lost a Hardcore world to a baby zombie clad in golden armor, a fate that isn’t as rare as one would think. This remark made a nod to well-known Minecraft YouTuber Ph1lza, who has faced a similar situation.

Khreh posed a question about the introduction of Hardcore mode in Minecraft Bedrock, to which Incyada responded that it was added just about a week ago, making it quite new. This feature was brought to the Bedrock Edition with the Bundles of Bravery update, which also introduced bundles into the game. Players can download this update for both versions.

The Bundles of Bravery update introduced two long-awaited features: bundles and Hardcore mode. The latter had been absent from the Bedrock version for over 11 years, largely due to the inherent bugs associated with it. Fortunately, Mojang is actively working on enhancements to increase its stability.

In an official blog post, the developers emphasized that players may still encounter some bugs and highlighted the importance of being mindful of certain aspects. For instance, a slow internet connection may lead to issues, particularly when transferring a Creative world, potentially resulting in data corruption.
