Insights into Minecraft’s upcoming Pale Garden biome and Creaking mob leak

How were Pale Garden’s new blocks and Creaking mob revealed?

Mojang is set to unveil a brand-new update during Minecraft Live on September 28, 2024. Ahead of this event, multiple leaks regarding the update’s features have emerged, with the most recent information appearing today (September 27).

A promotional video ahead of the live event was uploaded on the official Minecraft YouTube page, outlining how the developers plan to delve into the new features and present them to the community. However, unauthorized images of the post-event presentation have since been leaked online.

Pale Garden’s appearance and new blocks

The leaked images showcase the new Pale Garden biome, juxtaposed with the standard Overworld forest biome, suggesting that it may spawn in the first realm where players initially appear. Previously, there were speculations about this new biome potentially being part of the End realm, which has not seen updates in some time. However, the leaked visuals indicate that it is more likely to be an Overworld biome.

This biome presents a considerably desaturated aesthetic compared to other greener biomes, aligning perfectly with its name. It features a multitude of trees, making it forest-like, with trunks displaying a unique texture and surrounded by grayish dead vines.

Concerning new wood types, players will be able to harvest these new trees to obtain pale log blocks, which can then be transformed into planks and various wood block styles. According to the leaks, these planks will have a nearly white appearance, offering a fresh wood color option for players in the future.

One of the leaked images reveals a block with a distinctive orange texture in the center, flanked by the pale wood log texture at the top and bottom. Given the presence of a piston in the image, this block may interact with redstone technology.

Creaking mob’s appearance and new associated items

The leaked developer after-show before Minecraft Live showcased images of the Creaking mob as well. Observations from the leaks indicate that player characters are slightly shorter than this new creature.

The Creaking mob shares a texture similar to that of the Pale Garden biome’s tree trunks, with dead vines draping across its body. Furthermore, a leaked image introduced a new item called the creaking heart, which may be linked to this new mob.
