Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.21.50.25 Beta Patch Notes: New Eyeblossoms, Resin Blocks, and Additional Features
Following the conclusion of the Minecraft Bundles of Bravery, Mojang is now redirecting its attention to the upcoming Winter Drop update. While certain elements of the Winter Drop, including Creaking and Pale Garden, have been available for some time, the beta and preview versions of Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.50.25 introduce additional new features to the eerie biome.
The recent update presents a novel block known as resin, harvested from the Creaking Heart. Players can now explore multiple variants of this block, including stairs and bricks. Furthermore, a unique flower named eyeblossoms can be discovered thriving in the Pale Garden biome. This peculiar flower appears rather unremarkable in daylight but illuminates with a striking yellow hue at night.
Beyond eyeblossoms and resin, Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.50.25 brings a wealth of other adjustments and enhancements. Below are the comprehensive patch notes.
Minecraft 1.21.50.25 beta and preview patch notes
New Features and Bug Fixes
Resin
The update introduces Resin Clumps, a new multi-faceted block:
- Obtained by destroying the Creaking Heart.
- Generated around the Creaking Heart when it comes under attack.
- Can be transformed into a Block of Resin.
- Can be hardened into Resin Bricks through furnace smelting.
- Can be utilized as an armor trim.
Players can create the Resin Brick set from Resin Bricks, which includes:
- Brick Blocks
- Stairs
- Walls
- Slabs
- Chiseled Resin Brick Blocks
- Both items can be uncovered in chests within the Woodland Mansion.
- Resin Blocks can be crafted into a Creaking Heart using two Pale Oak Logs.
Eyeblossom
Eyeblossoms, a new flower, flourish in the Pale Garden biome and have distinct characteristics:
- Available in two forms: Closed and Open Eyeblossom.
- They switch between these states according to the time of day.
- At night, they blossom into Open Eyeblossoms.
- During daylight, they revert to Closed Eyeblossoms.
- In dimensions lacking a day/night cycle, their state remains unchanged.
- When planted, they communicate with each other to facilitate blooming and closing action.
- Open Eyeblossoms exhibit glowing eyes during nighttime.
- Players can obtain Eyeblossoms by using bonemeal on the grass within the Pale Garden biome.
- Bees encounter poisoning when they come into contact with Eyeblossoms.
- Suspicious Stew crafted with Eyeblossoms will impart Blindness or Nausea effects, depending on the flower variant used.
- Closed and Open Eyeblossoms can be converted into Gray and Orange Dye, respectively.

Biomes
- Rectified an issue where chunks generated before version 1.17.40 exhibited behaviors of Ocean biomes, including fog, sky color, and mob spawning (MCPE-186928).

- Input APIs have been introduced to ensure accessibility of inputs even with disabled input permissions.
- The getMovementVector(): Vector2 added to InputInfo captures raw movement data.
