Below are the patch details for the latest Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.50.26 beta and preview.
New Updates and Fixes in Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.50.26 Beta and Preview
Biomes
- The in-game music volume now gradually decreases when entering the Pale Garden and increases again upon leaving.
Pale Garden Enhancements
- New additions for the Wandering Trader include Pale Oak Sapling, Eyeblossoms, Pale Moss Block, and Hanging Pale Moss (MCPE-187456).
Block Updates
- Flammability settings adjusted for Pale Moss, Pale Moss Carpet, and Pale Hanging Moss, making them ignite faster but take longer to catch fire.
- These blocks can now be ignited by lava.
- The ambient sound drop-off for Pale Hanging Moss and Creaking Heart has been made linear, allowing them to be heard from further away (MCPE-187326).
- Eyeblossoms now produce sound effects when they open and close.
- When placed on a Pale Moss Block, open Eyeblossoms emit ambient sounds.
- Sounds for Vine, Cave Vines, Twisting Vines, and Weeping Vines have been corrected to their proper sounds, instead of the Nether Wart sound.
- The model for Hanging Pale Moss has been synchronized with its Java version (MCPE-187397).
- Eyeblossoms now generate particles when they open/close in the world and in Flower Pots.
- Pale Oak Leaves now release falling leaf particles.
Creaking Heart Changes
- The spread distance of Resin Clumps from the Creaking Heart has been reduced by one block.
- Resin Clumps can now only spread to Pale Oak Log, Stripped Pale Oak Log, Pale Oak Wood, and Stripped Pale Oak Wood.
Resin Brick Improvements
- Recipes for Resin Brick Slabs, Stairs, and Walls now yield the same number of blocks as those for Nether Bricks.
Developer’s Note: Counting is hard.
Resin Clump Adjustments
- Mobs are now able to correctly navigate over Resin Clumps.
Command Enhancements
- Raw text translations with excessive percentage signs (“%%%%1”) now expand consistently with numbered forms compared to non-numbered ones (“%%%%s”). (MCPE-171001)
- The effect command now accurately shows the duration in seconds after adding an effect (MCPE-186963).
Creaking Updates
- The volume and pitch of Creaking’s step sounds have been fine-tuned.
- Some of Creaking’s audio cues now have a linear drop-off rate, allowing them to be heard over longer distances.
New Features
- Tree growth has been standardized for the blocks they can replace, with a few exceptions (MCPE-187302) (MCPE-187301).
- Trees can now grow through leaves, except Cherry trees cannot grow through their own leaves.
- Every tree type is capable of growing on dirt-like blocks.
- Tall Grass now generates properly, showing its top part in the Pale Garden biome.
- Tall Grass also generates correctly in the Lush Caves biome.
Gameplay Enhancements
- Pressing the jump button while falling on a Slime Block no longer cancels the bounce (MCPE-185354).
- Sneaking when landing on a Slime Block no longer results in fall damage.
Developer’s Note: To cease bouncing on a Slime Block, sneaking is now the intended method.
Previously, players halted their bounce by holding the jump button, an oversight that inadvertently canceled out the movement from the block. This also led to other bugs, such as occurrences when using a Mace with the Wind Charge enchantment while holding the jump button.
The new player jump behavior chooses the highest value between the existing vertical velocity and the jump velocity.
- Resolved an issue where blocks would not place if a player switched their slot before the server processed the block placement (MCPE-112420).
Graphics Improvements
- The sky color now transitions smoothly when moving between different biomes, rather than changing abruptly (MCPE-90625).
Item Updates
- Resin Clump and Resin Brick items no longer float in a player’s hands while in third-person view.
- Players can now use Open and Closed Eyeblossoms on Mooshrooms to obtain their respective Suspicious Stews when milking.
- Blackstone can now be utilized for repairing stone tools and weapons (MCPE-71859).
Mobs
Creaking Behavior
- The speed of non-hostile Creakings has been reduced.
- Attacks by tamed Wolves will not prevent Creakings from targeting the Player.
- Creakings will now become stationary when only their feet are visible in Soul Sand or Mud.
- Creakings can approach a Player looking downward, stopping only when within the Player’s sight.
- The Creaking will sway upon being hit by projectiles.
- Improved the Creaking’s attack animation for enhanced fluidity.
