Back to All Characters |
Mika made his debut in Genshin Impact in March 2023, marking a significant return of playable characters from Mondstadt after a lengthy hiatus. Before Mika, players were introduced to Eula in May 2021 and Rosaria earlier in April of the same year.
Notably, all three characters share the Cryo Vision, necessitating the use of Shivada Jade for their ascension. To ascend Mika and enhance his talents fully, various materials are required. Below is a detailed overview of the materials needed for Mika’s ascension.

How to Obtain All Materials for Mika

Gemstones: Locating Shivada Jade

Shivada Jade, the Cryo ascension gemstone, is a necessary component for Mika’s ascension, easily acquired by defeating various bosses, including:
- Cryo Regisvine
- Cryo Hypostasis
- Coral Defenders
- Maguu Kenki
- Perpetual Mechanical Array
- First Geovishap*
- Aeonblight Drake
- Iniquitous Baptist
- Icewind Suite (Coppelius)
- Wayward Hermetic Spiritspeaker
- Andrius (The Wolf of the North Challenge)
- Childe (Enter the Golden House)
- Azhdaha (Beneath the Dragon Queller)*
- La Signora (Narukami Island: Tenshukaku)
*Note: Azhdaha and the Primo Geovishap will only drop Shivada Jade when aligned with the Cryo element.
Enemy Drops: Acquiring Fatui Insignias

Mika also requires Fatui Insignias for his ascension. These insignias are dropped by defeated Fatui agents, particularly from Cicin Mages, Pyro Agents, and Skirmishers. Mirror Maidens and Operatives do not yield these drops.
As players face higher-level Fatui, they can receive improved Insignias as indicated in the following table:
Enemy Level |
Possible Drops |
---|---|
Any |
Recruit’s Insignia |
40+ |
Sergeant’s Insignia |
60+ |
Lieutenant’s Insignia |
Fatui agents are prevalent across the landscape, but prime farming spots include the central regions of Liyue, particularly near Dunyu Ruins and Cuijue Slope. Other hotspots span the north side of Dragonspine, from Wyrmrest Valley to the edge of Dadaupa Gorge, as well as various areas in Sumeru and Inazuma.
Boss Drops: Obtaining Pseudo-Stamens

Despite being a Cryo character tied to Mondstadt, Mika requires drops from the Anemo-aligned boss, Setekh Wenut, to obtain Pseudo-Stamens essential for his ascension. This boss can be found in the Wenut tunnels located at the southeast region of the Desert of Hadramaveth in Sumeru. For more guidance on defeating Setekh Wenut, please refer to our comprehensive guide.
Local Specialty: Harvesting Wolfhook

Following the game’s launch, Razor has been the sole character associated with Wolfhook, a local specialty. However, Mika also shares this requirement. Wolfhook can exclusively be found in Wolvendom, hidden amongst tree foliage. Players can purchase five units of Wolfhook from Chloris every three days for 1, 000 Mora each. Chloris is frequently seen traversing between the Temple of the Wolf and the Temple of the Falcon in the Windrise area of Mondstadt.
Talent Books: The Ballad Series

Although Mika appears shy when speaking publicly, he relies on the Ballad talent series from Mondstadt for his talent upgrades. These talent books can primarily be obtained by completing the Forsaken Rift domain available on Wednesdays, Saturdays, or Sundays. It is advisable not to include Mika in your party for this challenge due to the presence of Cryo enemies resistant to his attacks.
Trounce Materials: Acquiring Mirror of Mushin

To advance Mika’s talents, players will need the Mirror of Mushin, only available from Scaramouche in the Joururi Workshop’s trounce domain within Sumeru. To access this trounce domain, players must first complete Chapter III: Act V – Akasha Pulses, the Kalpa Flame Rises, specifically through the quest titled Where the Boat of Consciousness Lies. Additionally, players who haven’t unlocked this domain via the standard method may opt for a Quick Challenge in solo mode if they reach Adventure Rank 40.
