Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia exchange words over weight controversy before upcoming fight

The highly anticipated showdown for the WBC lightweight championship is just under three weeks away, with Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia set to face off.

The duo must adhere to a weight limit of 140 pounds, however, unlike Garcia’s previous bout against Gervonta Davis, there will be no restriction on rehydration in the upcoming championship match.

Despite the doubts surrounding the title fight due to the controversial behavior of ‘KingRy’ over the past month, it seems that these concerns have now subsided. ‘The Dream’ retaliated against Garcia’s remarks, hinting that his opponent may struggle to make the weight limit of 140 pounds.

“They are claiming I’m fat. No history of missing weight. Not planning to, just be ready.”

In response, the lightweight champion of WBC replied with the following:

“Stop using your hands to push the fat down. It’s history of you changing weight days before [a scheduled fight].”
