UFC Welterweight Ian Garry Issues Cold Warning to Colby Covington Ahead of Anticipated Clash

Ian Garry has recently commented on the possibility of a clash with Colby Covington. With a clear disdain for each other, it comes as no shock that the Irishman has expressed his desire to put an end to Covington’s fighting career.

Despite continuously exchanging shots on social media and in interviews over the past few weeks, neither man has received an official announcement from the promotion regarding their desired fight in the octagon.

During an interview with MMA Fighting, ‘The Future’ shared his thoughts on potentially facing Covington in the cage. He brought up the American’s derogatory comments towards Brazilian people and how he threatened to violently end his career. ‘The Future’ stated:

“I’ve said my bit, you [Colby Covington] don’t deserve to be here [in the UFC], you don’t deserve to be at the top of the division anymore. I’m gonna retire you, and all of Brazil is gonna have a smile on their face when I knock you unconscious and leave you in a puddle of your own blood, face down on the canvas. Colby, you’re done.”

Sean Strickland Challenges Michael Chiesa to a Fight After Dog-Loving Men Comments

Sean Strickland recently expressed anger towards Michael Chiesa for challenging his beliefs on men who have a strong affection for their pet dogs.

Strickland is known for being one of the most controversial and vocal fighters in the world of MMA. Recently, he expressed his views on adult men who do not have children but have a strong love for their dogs. He criticized these men for not living a fulfilled life and argued that true masculinity includes raising a family, as seen in a series of tweets.

In response to Strickland’s tweets, Chiesa commented on one of his posts, stating:

“If you’re a grown a** childless man hating on someone for loving a dog… you gotta rethink your life. Rich or poor.”

Despite Strickland’s dislike for Chiesa’s statements, he launched a verbal attack against the UFC veteran. In his challenge to ‘Maverick’, he wrote:

”@MikeMav22 I’m not saying you’re wrong but you talk a lot of shit to me and you haven’t earned that right. You’re not just a random person on X. No free pass. I think it’s time you get an opportunity to be my equal. Not at the PI but I think it’s time.”

Petr Yan sets sights on redemption with rematches against Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili in the UFC bantamweight division

Despite facing losses to Sean O’Malley and Merab Dvalishvili, Petr Yan was able to break his three-fight losing streak by defeating Song Yadong at UFC 299 last month. With this victory, ‘No Mercy’ is determined to make a comeback and prove himself once again.

Yan discussed his future opponents and potential matchups in an interview with Gorilla Fighting (translated via captions). He expressed interest in facing either O’Malley or Dvalishvili next, while disregarding the possibility of fighting Henry Cejudo and Aljamain Sterling. He stated:

“I want rematches. I told you, it’s going to be rematch season. With Song, he wanted to take mine. I’m interested in Sean O’Malley, Merab Dvalishvili. I’m not interested in Aljamain Sterling. He’s a different weight. There’s no point in talking about it now. These two rematches and plus, I’m interested in Marlon Vera. Guys who are in the top five.”

He went on to say:

“I’m only interested in fighters who are in the rankings where I am… I don’t know where he [Cejudo] is [ranked] now. He’s out of the question right now, but if it’s of interest, we’ll look into it.

Mike Tyson clarifies status of potential exhibition match against Jake Paul

Mike Tyson has recently discussed his long-awaited boxing match against Jake Paul and responded to speculation that the fight would be considered an exhibition.

The highly-anticipated Tyson-Paul match is scheduled to take place at the AT&T Stadium in Texas on July 20 and will be live-streamed on Netflix. The announcement of the fight sparked considerable controversy due to the significant age difference between the two competitors spanning over thirty years.

Despite the official announcement of the fight, there is still no confirmed information on whether it will be categorized as a professional or exhibition match. Due to this uncertainty, it is widely speculated that the matchup will be deemed an exhibition. However, Tyson has recently refuted these speculations.

While being interviewed on Fox News, Tyson stated:

”This is called an exhibition, but if you look up exhibition you will not see any of the laws that we are fighting under. This is a fight… ‘Right now, I’m scared to death but as the fight gets closer, the less nervous I become. Because this is reality, and in reality, I’m invincible.”

Ronda Rousey Opens Up About Brain Trauma and Loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193

Despite her loss, former UFC champion Ronda Rousey has spoken out about her title fight against Holly Holm at UFC 193, acknowledging that her experience with concussions may have played a role in her knockout.

In November 2015, Rousey faced off against Holm in a highly anticipated match to defend her UFC women’s bantamweight title. Despite being the favorite, Rousey was stunned when Holm delivered a knockout in the second round, surprising fans.

Following that, Rousey took a one-year hiatus before making her comeback at UFC 207 against Amanda Nunes. Unfortunately, Nunes delivered Rousey her second defeat with a first-round TKO. In a recent discussion with Valeria Lipovetsky, Rousey opened up about her loss to Holm and attributed her performance to neurological damage. She expressed:

“People making all these judgments about me in a fight, where I was literally, my first loss, I was not like — my mouthguard was bad. I literally came into that fight concussed from slipping down some stairs already after all these years of concussions. And then, I had an absolutely terrible weight cut, which means you have less fluid in your brain to protect it.”

Continuing her thoughts, she said:

“And I was out on my feet for the entire fight. I was just trying to make it look like I wasn’t hurt, but I wasn’t there cognitively. I couldn’t think as fast. I couldn’t judge distance. And just from that one fight, everybody felt like, ‘Oh, she’s a fraud.’”
