Chael Sonnen Questions Khamzat Chimaev’s Decision to Accept Another Title Contender Fight in UFC
Chael Sonnen, in a recent statement, expressed his opinions on the middleweight fight between Khamzat Chimaev and Robert Whittaker at UFC Saudi Arabia. He also raised questions about the reasoning behind the Chechen fighter’s decision to take on another opponent who is also a title contender.
‘Borz’ recently earned a tough majority decision win against Kamaru Usman at UFC 294 in October. The bout was promoted as a 185-pound title eliminator, but Chimaev was ultimately denied a shot at the title.
Sonnen recently shared his thoughts on the Whittaker-Chimaev fight in a video that was uploaded to YouTube, stating:
“This rumor is not new, and the last fight that Chimaev had was said to be a No.1 contender’s match, and Chimaev won. So, it feels as though Chimaev have already qualifies for the title match.”
He proceeded to say:
“I’m bringing that to you because you still have a problem or at least a question, like, with anybody, why would he want to do it? It’s a really hard thing. You have to find motivation, and it could be anything. We could speculate that at least a hint of an idea is that this is where we’re going to find our No.1 contender.”

The Controversial Persona of Colby Covington in the UFC
Despite being compared to former POTUS Donald Trump, Colby Covington has no issue with the comparison. In fact, the former interim welterweight champion reaffirmed his friendship with the real estate mogul and addressed those who label him as the Trump of the promotion.
During a recent interview on the SOSCAST podcast, Covington was questioned about his comparison to the former President of the United States, highlighting their shared tendency to incite controversy. In response, he stated:
“I take pride in that, man. He talks the talk, and he walks the walk; he does good business. You know, it’s all about doing good business for the UFC; it’s all about making money, and there’s no one who knows how to make money better than a guy like Donald Trump.”

Former UFC Fighter Josh Thompson Weighs in on Potential Michael Chandler vs. Conor McGregor Matchup
Despite Josh Thompson’s belief that Michael Chandler defeating Conor McGregor would not have the same impact as Nate Diaz’s victory over the Irishman, it is widely known that Chandler has his sights set on a potential fight with McGregor. There has been much speculation surrounding this potential matchup.
During a recent episode of the Weighing In podcast, Thompson discussed why Chandler’s potential victory against McGregor may not carry the significance that many anticipate, stating:
“I mean, let’s be honest, when Nate Diaz did it, it was special. We thought Conor was the man, and Nate did it, coming in on what f**king two weeks notice, weeks that was amazing… If Chandler did it, I don’t even think we would be impressed. You beat a dude who’s been doing movies, drinking, and partying for three years. I guess where I’m at with this is that there is no real red panty night.”

The pit of despair I was in over Christmas time was caused by a YouTuber accusing me of scamming… I had a bit of a mental breakdown one night and I was in a pretty dark spot. For the first time in my life, I was having suicidal thoughts… I was seeing some dark f***ing sh*t dude. Some dark sh*t. I was spiralling. I’m just crying, sobbing… I felt weak, which is uncommon for me. I’m supposed be the leader.”

MMA Fighter Sean Strickland Criticizes Men’s Obsession with Dogs in America
Despite being a former UFC middleweight champion, Sean Strickland does not support men showing excessive love and attention towards their furry four-legged companions. He recently expressed his disapproval on social media, stating that the country has been corrupted by a “sickness.”He also urged men without children to reconsider their decision to own dogs.
In a string of Twitter posts, ‘Tarzan’ criticized Barstool Sports’ owner Dave Portnoy for his excessive focus on his dog, Miss Peaches, and stated:
“My girl watches the TikTok sadly, she keeps showing me Miss Peaches, the barstool sports guy’s dog. And I asked my girl “Does this man have kids”, no. Let me tell you all something if you’re a grown-a** childless man obsessed about a dog you gotta rethink your life.. rich or poor.”
Strickland later tweeted:
“Ok, I went too far… I’m sorry. Your dogs are your kids. I know… I know. As a man who loves his country, I just see the sickness that has infected us. The men before us built a nation, fought world wars, had pride, God. What do we have now? Boys with dog children.”
