Midnight Murder Club, developed by Velan Studios, is an innovative first-person shooter party game making its entrance into early access on March 13 for both PC and PS5 platforms. Initially announced in June, this multiplayer hide-and-seek experience can accommodate up to six players and was initially set for a December 2024 launch on Steam. However, instead of waiting for its full launch, players were treated to a crossover beta and the announcement that it will also be available on PS5.
During The Game Awards 2024, a new trailer was unveiled, highlighting the game’s captivating premise. Players find themselves within a sprawling, pitch-black mansion, armed only with flashlights to illuminate their path. However, using the flashlight comes with risks, as the light reveals the player’s position to lurking enemies. In lieu of visibility, invaders must rely on sound and proximity chat to stealthily navigate through the extensive halls and various rooms.
After a brief delay, Midnight Murder Club is set to welcome players into early access on March 13 for both Steam and PS5 platforms. Velan Studios aims to collect feedback from players as they explore the eerie Wormwood Manor. For those on PS5, a valid PlayStation Network account, a PS Plus subscription, and an internet connection are necessary to join this thrilling shooter-in-the-dark adventure.
Midnight Murder Club Early Access Launch Date

- Launch Date: March 13, 2025
Players can look forward to exploring the four existing gameplay modes: Free for All, Thief in the Night, Team Deathmatch, and Headhunters, all of which were accessible during the crossover beta. The launch of early access will introduce an exciting new mode called Wildcards, where participants can draw cards that modify rules across the game, such as exploding on death or gaining super speed. Each match will reward players with new cards, enhancing the fun and unpredictability of the game.
Additionally, Velan Studios has announced the Guest Pass Edition of Midnight Murder Club, designed to facilitate easier gameplay with friends. This edition allows players to invite up to five friends to join their game without any cost, overcoming the barrier of needing everyone to purchase the game upfront. This version will not have limitations, allowing players to engage in all game modes in both public and private matches. Pricing details and the duration of early access are yet to be disclosed.
