In May, Microsoft unveiled the launch of three engaging puzzle games for users of its LinkedIn social networking platform tailored for business professionals. These games—Pinpoint, Queens, and Crossclimb—were specifically created to foster connections among LinkedIn members and enhance their productivity.
Today, LinkedIn has introduced a fourth free puzzle game, named Tango. In a blog post, Lakshman Somasundaram, LinkedIn’s Director of Product Management, shared details about how to play Tango:
Your goal is to fill the grid so that each square contains either a sun (☀️) or a moon (🌑). However, there’s a twist: No more than two ☀️ or 🌑 can be adjacent, either vertically or horizontally. Additionally, every row and column must have an equal count of ☀️ and 🌑.
Tango is now accessible on both desktop and mobile versions of LinkedIn, as well as the Android and iOS applications.
Besides introducing the Tango game, LinkedIn is preparing to roll out new gaming features by the end of October. A feature that has garnered significant interest from gamers on LinkedIn is the addition of achievements. Players will soon have the ability to compare their scores in LinkedIn games with the global average and against peers within their company, educational institution, or network.
Another feature in development will enable users not only to post their game scores daily but also to share their initial strategies without giving away their complete plans, thereby preventing spoilers.
Ultimately, LinkedIn games will provide players with enhanced statistics, including:
You will gain insights such as your total number of plays, your win percentage, your highest score, and your longest winning streak. Furthermore, you can unlock special milestones after significant durations of success, such as after completing a whole month of wins.
Details regarding the exact rollout timeline for these exciting features in LinkedIn’s free games have yet to be announced.
