Microsoft Enhances Viva Insights with New Features and Reports
Microsoft has recently unveiled a series of significant updates to its Viva Insights platform, aiming to streamline productivity tracking and improve user experience. One of the most noteworthy changes is the integration of the Copilot Dashboard with enhanced reporting capabilities within the Viva Insights web app. This unification empowers organizations to effectively monitor the utilization of the Copilot feature and analyze its impact on overall productivity. Users can now enjoy broader access to Copilot reports and the ability to publish new reports seamlessly.
New Reporting Tools for Custom AI Agents
Another exciting addition is the introduction of a Power BI report tailored for Copilot Studio agents, which is currently in public preview. This reporting tool enables organizations to track the adoption rates and effectiveness of custom AI agents developed through Microsoft Copilot Studio. Companies can leverage this feature to quantify productivity improvements and gauge user satisfaction across various communication platforms.
For context, Copilot Studio agents are specialized AI solutions crafted to tackle specific tasks and business challenges, designed to integrate seamlessly with Microsoft 365 Copilot. It’s essential to highlight that, since this feature is still in public preview, aspects of it may be subject to change prior to the final release.
Introducing the Learning Culture and Skills Landscape Reports
The latest update also includes two new invaluable reports focused on employee development: the Learning Culture Report and the Skills Landscape Report.
The Learning Culture Report, available as a Power BI template, offers human resource managers and organizational leaders insights into employee engagement with learning materials in Viva Learning. It encompasses content consumed during self-directed learning, even if it is not formally assigned.
To implement the Learning Culture report, follow these steps:
- Learning Knowledge administrators must first enable data sharing from Viva Learning to Viva Insights.
- Viva Insights Analysts can then generate the report using the provided Power BI template.
- Reports are refreshed weekly to provide timely and relevant insights.
On the other hand, the Skills Landscape Report is also currently in public preview. This report aids organizations in identifying key competencies, specialized areas, and essential capabilities among their workforce, drawing on data from Viva Insights and People Skills.
It’s crucial to note that both reports require specific data sharing settings to be activated. Organizations must ensure that data sharing between Viva Learning and Viva Insights is enabled, along with sharing People Skills data to gain access to these reports.
