Microsoft unveils transparent cases for Xbox Design Lab and introduces Ghost Cipher controller

Microsoft has introduced an exciting new lineup of accessories for the Xbox Design Lab service, allowing gamers to design their own custom Xbox Wireless Controller. This latest collection includes six translucent cases along with chromatic D-pads and paddles. Additionally, Microsoft has revealed a new Ghost Cipher variant of its standard wireless controller.

As per Microsoft’s announcement, this new collection is inspired by “the iconic translucent technology from the ’90s and early 2000s.” Customers can configure their controllers with vibrant “candy-colored”or fully clear cases that “encapsulate the controller’s metallic frame, highlighting both its aesthetic appeal and cutting-edge engineering.”

The Cipher Series showcases a transparent housing complemented by metallic silver accents, allowing you to see inside the controller. It captures the essence of those legendary see-through gadgets that technology fans still cherish—now returning boldly for a new generation of gamers.

The transparent top cases come in six different colors, while the D-pad and paddles are offered in two exciting options: Energy Chroma and Sunset Chroma.
