Microsoft Marks 10 Years of the Windows Insider Program with Exciting New Wallpapers

Immediately following the revelation of Windows 10 on October 1, Microsoft announced the initiation of the Windows Insider Program, allowing users to experience the operating system prior to its official release.

By January 2015, just months after launching, Microsoft reported an impressive 1.7 million registrations for the Windows Insider Program. This initiative has since broadened its scope to encompass testing for Windows 11 builds, alongside various applications and services, such as the Microsoft Store, Paint, Photos, and others.

To commemorate a decade of the Windows Insider Program, Microsoft has published a dedicated blog post and released a special edition of the Windows Insider webcast.

The blog highlights the program’s journey by stating:

Throughout its existence, the Windows Insider Program has transformed how we present new experiences (such as Rings, Channels & Canaries) and the content we preview (including Windows 10, Windows 11, apps, and services). What has remained constant is the substantial input from you, the Windows Insider community, who have generously provided your time and feedback to enhance each Windows release for our users.

Although the announcement did not delve into specific plans for the future of the Windows Insider Program, it affirmed:

We are dedicated to maintaining open communication, actively listening to your suggestions, and exploring new possibilities with Windows.

Additionally, the blog features two fresh wallpapers created by the Microsoft Design team in honor of the Windows Insider Program’s 10-year milestone. Users can download a light or dark wallpaper for their PCs, along with adaptations for ultrawide display monitors.
