Microsoft’s AI CEO, Mustafa Suleyman, recently announced free access to their Think Deeper feature, effectively allowing all Copilot users to utilize OpenAI’s reasoning capabilities without any cost. This marks a significant shift, as previously, access required a subscription to ChatGPT Plus or a $20 monthly fee for Copilot Pro. Introduced in October as part of the Copilot Labs, Think Deeper was initially available only to Copilot Pro subscribers.
Think Deeper functions similarly to ChatGPT Plus, offering users enhanced responses and the ability to handle intricate prompts effectively. This tool excels in generating application code and developing extensive plans, such as organizing a road trip. During the announcement, Suleyman expressed his enthusiasm for this new development, stating:
We’ve got so much more in the pipeline right now that I can’t wait to tell you about.
