
Microsoft Unveils New AI Agents to Revolutionize Sales Teams
In an exciting development for businesses seeking to enhance their sales processes, Microsoft announced the launch of two innovative AI agents: Sales Agent and Sales Chat. These cutting-edge tools are designed to empower sales teams, allowing them to concentrate on high-value tasks and ultimately drive sales growth for their organizations.
Introducing Sales Agent: Autonomous Sales Support
The Sales Agent is an autonomous digital assistant that streamlines various aspects of the sales process. Capable of researching leads, scheduling meetings, and contacting potential customers, this AI agent enhances operational efficiency. Notably, for less critical leads, the Sales Agent can even finalize sales independently. By leveraging information from CRM systems, web sources, and Microsoft 365 data—including emails and meeting notes—it tailors its outreach to resonate with each lead effectively.
Sales Chat: Enhancing Preparation for Client Meetings
Complementing the Sales Agent, the Sales Chat agent is designed to support sales representatives in preparing for customer meetings. It utilizes pertinent CRM data, presentations, conversations, and online resources to furnish sales reps with valuable insights. For instance, sales professionals can inquire, “What deals are at risk of falling through?” or “What key points should I cover in tomorrow’s customer meeting?” Such capabilities aim to facilitate more informed discussions and effective sales strategies.
Public Preview and Accessibility
Both AI agents are set to be available in public preview starting May 2025 and will be integrated into Dynamics 365 and Salesforce platforms. Users will access these agents through Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat. Additionally, other recently announced agents such as Customer Intent, Customer Knowledge Management, Case Management, Scheduling Operations, and Sales Order agents are expected to roll out later this month.
The AI Accelerator for Sales Program
To further assist organizations in their journey toward modernized sales operations, Microsoft introduced the AI Accelerator for Sales program. This initiative aims to help companies transform their sales frameworks using Microsoft 365 Copilot and its suite of AI agents while aiding in the transition from outdated CRM systems. The AI Accelerator for Sales program is slated to become available to select customers on April 1, 2025.
