While Copilot’s current market share on the web remains below 1%, Microsoft is not backing down. The company is enhancing Copilot with the introduction of two innovative features aimed at boosting user engagement and interaction.
Introducing Copilot’s Real Talk
The first significant addition is Copilot’s Real Talk, which has recently been accessible to select accounts in the United States. This feature allows users to engage in more natural, human-like conversations with the AI. However, it is essential to note that Real Talk is not a return of the earlier “Sydney”personality from Copilot/Bing Chat; instead, it employs advanced reasoning capabilities along with diverse personalities based on the inquiry made and the dynamic nature of the conversation.
Features of Real Talk
Real Talk encompasses two key attributes: Depth and Writing Style. Depth can be customized to options like standard or compressed, while the writing style can vary between standard and casual, as observed in my interactions. When initiating a chat, Copilot’s Real Talk utilizes its memory to pull relevant information about the user to enhance the dialogue.
Through Real Talk mode, users can gain insight into Copilot’s thought process as it analyzes previous conversations and user knowledge. The AI chooses an appropriate writing style and depth level prior to engaging in any discussion.

The Vision Behind Real Talk
The goal of Real Talk is to transform Copilot into a more personal and interactive companion that facilitates engaging dialogues. Jacob Andreou, Microsoft’s head of product and growth for AI, emphasized that “Real Talk aims to create a more interactive, human-like dialogue that goes beyond providing straightforward information.” He explained further that the feature will encourage users to think critically by occasionally offering challenges or alternative perspectives during conversations.
During a late-night conversation, Copilot articulated that Real Talk creates a discussion without the “corporate costume.” It transcends the traditional role of an assistant by showing a genuine interest in the user’s thoughts, regardless of the hour.
Generative Video Feature
In another exciting development, Windows Latest discovered a new feature in Copilot for Android that enables users to create videos. This feature allows for the generation of short video clips, up to eight seconds long, complete with audio elements.

Although this feature has not yet been rolled out for all users, it appears to be widely accessible without requiring a subscription, as it functions on the basic Microsoft 365 plan.
As Microsoft continues to enhance Copilot, the introduction of Real Talk and the generative video feature demonstrate the company’s commitment to improving user experience and competition in the evolving market of AI tools.
