Microsoft Unveils Indigenous Copilot App for Windows 11 Users
After introducing a “native”Copilot application a few months ago, Microsoft faced backlash as users realized that the app was essentially a web interface. In response to these concerns, the tech giant is set to roll out an authentic XAML Copilot app specifically designed for Windows 11. This latest version not only enhances functionality but also makes the app much more accessible to novice users eager to learn how to tweak various settings on their PCs.
For further insights, check out the official announcement detailing these improvements:
- Enhanced Native Interface: The app now features a modern side panel that allows users to initiate new conversations and view past exchanges with ease.
- Personalized Assistance: Users can directly inquire about their PCs, such as asking “How do I set up a Bluetooth headset on this device?” Copilot tailors its responses based on the user’s specific Windows version.
The upgraded Copilot application, version 1.25023.101.0, is currently being distributed to Insiders across all channels. It’s worth noting that the deployment is gradual, and some users might experience a delay before receiving the update. However, if you’re keen to try this new feature and are not part of the Insider program, there’s a way to manually install the update:
- Visit store.rg-adguard.net and select “Product ID“from the first dropdown list.
- In the search bar, paste 9NHT9RB2F4HD and choose “Fast“from the second dropdown.
- Click the checkmark icon to view available packages.
- Locate Microsoft. Copilot_1.25023.106.0_neutral_~_8wekyb3d8bbwe.appxbundle and download it.
- Open the downloaded file and select “Update”when prompted.
- Launch the updated Copilot application.
Beyond this, the app is now accessible via the App Store, featuring notable enhancements, including a compact search bar designed for quick interactions. However, note that requesting help to activate Windows may lead to limitations, as Microsoft has neutralized Copilot’s functionality in that regard following concerns that it could inadvertently direct users to unauthorized activation methods.
