New Release: Windows Server 2025 Build 26334 for Windows Insiders
Microsoft has announced the rollout of a new build of Windows Server 2025 for Windows Insiders, designated as Build 26334. This marks the final build release of the year, with further updates anticipated in January 2024. Below, we will delve into the key enhancements and features introduced in this latest version.
Overview of Windows Server 2025 Build 26334
This build represents a significant step in the development of the Windows Server Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) Preview. It includes options for both Desktop Experience and Server Core installations within the Datacenter and Standard editions. Additionally, it encompasses an Annual Channel for Container Host and Azure Edition, which is currently only available for virtual machine evaluation. Throughout this preview, the branding remains as “Windows Server 2025,”and users are encouraged to refer to it as Windows Server vNext during any troubleshooting interactions.
Individuals enrolled in the Server Flighting program will receive this new build automatically, ensuring a seamless update experience.
Key Features Introduced
Windows Defender Application Control for Business (WDAC)
One of the most notable features in this build is the introduction of Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC) tailored for business environments. WDAC is designed to bolster security by significantly minimizing the attack surface. It operates by enforcing a predefined list of approved software that can execute on the server. This new feature comes with a ‘default policy’ provided by Microsoft, which can be easily applied through PowerShell cmdlets, facilitated by the innovative ‘OSconfig’ security configuration platform.

Enhanced Windows Admin Center (WAC)
With Build 26252 and beyond, preview users can conveniently download and install the Windows Admin Center directly from the Windows Server Desktop. This in-operating system application simplifies the download and installation process, making it more user-friendly than ever.
Known Issues
As with any software update, users may encounter known issues:
Flighting Mislabeling: The flight label may inaccurately reference Windows 11, but rest assured that selecting this package will lead to the installation of the Windows Server update. Users are advised to proceed with their installation regardless of the label, as this discrepancy will be corrected in a future update.
Validity and Installation Keys
This build will remain operational until September 15, 2025. Users can activate their installations using the following keys:
- Server Standard: MFY9F-XBN2F-TYFMP-CCV49-RMYVH
