Microsoft Introduces Xbox AI Support Chatbot for Testing Phase
Microsoft Unveils Support Virtual Agent for Xbox Users
Following earlier reports regarding Microsoft’s initiative to enhance customer support for Xbox, the tech giant is now ready to launch public testing of its new chatbot solution. Dubbed the Support Virtual Agent, this feature aims to streamline the process for Xbox users seeking assistance with their gaming-related queries.
How to Access the Support Virtual Agent
Starting today, Xbox Insiders can experience the capabilities of the Support Virtual Agent. To try it out, users can visit the support.xbox.com platform. Upon signing in with their Xbox Insider Program credentials, users will find a new option to pose questions to the AI support agent on the “Contact us” page:
“Starting today, Xbox Insiders will see the Support Virtual Agent on the ‘Contact us’ page on support.xbox.com. Sign in with the same account you registered with the Xbox Insider Program, then you’ll see a new option to ask our new Support Virtual Agent a question.”
Features and Functionality
Users can interact with the Support Virtual Agent through both text and voice inputs. This AI-driven assistant is designed to access existing support information and deliver relevant solutions in natural language. It’s important to note that, during this testing phase, the feature is limited to users in the United States who have their preferred language set to English.
Connecting to Live Support
In case the automated assistance does not resolve the user’s issue, the Support Virtual Agent can escalate the request to a live representative from Microsoft’s customer support team. This ensures that all users can receive help tailored to their specific needs.
Your Feedback Matters
Microsoft is keen to gather insights from Xbox Insiders during this preview. Feedback provided by users will play a crucial role in enhancing the Support Virtual Agent’s functionality. As stated in the announcement, “We value the feedback from Xbox Insiders for this preview experience. You can provide feedback through the ‘thumbs up’ or ‘thumbs down’ options on each response or use the ‘Give feedback’ button at the bottom of the page.”
Exploring Two Distinct Agent Types
During this testing phase, users will have access to two different variations of the Support Virtual Agent. Insiders will be able to switch between these agents freely; however, Microsoft has yet to disclose the specific differences between the two, sparking interest among users about the unique functionalities each may provide.
