Microsoft Enhances Paint with New AI-Powered Features
Microsoft has rolled out an exciting update for Windows 11, specifically targeting users on version 23H2 in the Release Preview Channel. Accompanying this update is a significant enhancement for the Paint application, now featuring version 11.2509.441.0, which incorporates innovative AI capabilities.
Introducing the Restyle Feature
At the forefront of this update is the Restyle feature. This new tool allows users to creatively transform their images into various artistic styles. For instance, you can effortlessly convert a standard photo into a vibrant piece of Pop Art. Accessing this feature is simple; just navigate to the Copilot menu on the toolbar. After opening the sidebar, select your desired style and click on “Generate.”Paint will then provide options to copy the new image, save it as a separate file, or integrate it into your existing canvas.
Details from Microsoft on the Update
In relation to this rollout, Microsoft has provided an official statement in their announcement post:
In this update we are introducing Restyle, an AI-powered feature that lets you transform the art style of images on the canvas. To get started, open Paint and select the Restyle option from the Copilot menu. Choose from a preset list of styles and select the Generate button. Once the restyled images are generated, you can click on the Add to canvas button, copy, or save it for later use.
Availability of the Restyle Feature
The Restyle feature is currently being deployed to all Windows Insiders across the Canary, Dev, and Beta Channels of Windows 11. However, it’s important to note that this feature is not available for Windows 10 users, as the operating system has reached the end of its support lifecycle and is no longer receiving updates, except for those within the Extended Security Updates program.
