 
						Microsoft Unveils Key Features in October Update for Xbox
This month, Microsoft introduced an array of exciting enhancements across its Xbox hardware and software platforms. The October Update is set to benefit Xbox home consoles, the Windows PC app, and includes upgrades specifically designed for the newly launched ROG Xbox handheld devices.
Enhanced Download Speeds on Windows PCs
For Windows PC users, Microsoft has optimized the Xbox app to significantly enhance download speeds. While specific metrics were not disclosed, the company assures players that they will now have quicker access to their games, thanks to behind-the-scenes improvements.
“We’ve made improvements to the download tool, allowing the app to better optimize your PC’s internet connection, ”the company stated.“That means fewer slowdowns and smarter bandwidth usage, especially on high-speed networks.”
New Game Hub Modules for Xbox Consoles
On Xbox One and Series X|S consoles, users will find two fresh modules integrated into Game Hubs. These additions are intended to keep players informed and engaged by providing updates from official clubs and highlighting exciting Game Pass offerings relevant to their selected games.
Advanced Shader Delivery for ROG Xbox Handhelds
Additionally, the ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X devices are receiving enhancements through the introduction of the Advanced Shader Delivery feature, which was first revealed in August. This functionality enables preloading of hardware-specific shaders while games are being downloaded. As a result, gamers can experience a tenfold increase in the speed at which they can start playing, while also benefiting from improved battery life and a smoother gameplay experience right from the start.
