Microsoft Flight Simulator Boeing 707-320C: The Latest Addition to Famous Flyers

As we eagerly anticipate the launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, we see that the 2020 edition of this renowned flight simulation game continues to receive exciting content updates. Today, players can purchase and download the latest addition to the Famous Flyer aircraft lineup, featuring one of aviation’s most iconic and influential planes: the Boeing 707-320C.

In a recent blog post on the official game website, Microsoft highlights that the Boeing 707-320C is recognized as the most produced and commercially successful variant of the Boeing 707 family. The post delves into the history of the Boeing 707, which commenced development in the early 1950s as a covert initiative aimed at creating a commercial aircraft inspired by the design of military bombers such as the B-52 and B-47.

The aircraft’s first prototype took to the skies in 1954, followed by the initial official model, the 707-120, which made its debut in 1957. It started flying commercially in 1958. The game features the 707-320C variant, the last model in the series introduced during the 1960s, with a total of 337 units built. Esteemed airlines, including PanAm, Northwest, and Air France, operated this aircraft. The final unit of this series was completed in 1978, and the Boeing 707-320C remained in service well into the 2000s.

Players can now acquire the Boeing 707-320C in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) for $14.99 in the in-game marketplace. This aircraft comes with six distinct liveries: Boeing Delivery, World Travel, Pacifica, Orbit, Emerald Harbor, and PanAm.

With the release date for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 just under two months away, set for November 19, several editions are currently available for preorder on both PC and Xbox Series X|S. PC gamers interested in the new installment can review the hardware specifications needed, which may require as much as 64GB of RAM for the “Ideal edition.”
