Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 Technical Alpha Sign-Ups Now Live

Scheduled for release this November, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is poised to launch on both Xbox and PC platforms. In preparation for the debut, the development team is organizing a Technical Alpha aimed at testing new services within the game. If you’re keen to contribute to the testing process, you can register to become a participant.

It’s important to note that the upcoming test won’t include all the features that will be available at the official launch. According to a recent announcement on the Microsoft Flight Simulator website, the “scope of available content will be limited.” Participants can expect access to free flights, segments of career challenges, and discovery flights. Additionally, this test is specifically aimed at PC users and those on the Microsoft Store.

Throughout the testing phase, the development team will collect telemetry data from various systems, including package and content streaming, career progression, multiplayer interactions, the world map, challenges, live air traffic, weather conditions, storage solutions, authentication processes, and other relevant aspects. However, it’s crucial to understand that this test is not designed for feedback related to the game’s overall design.

While anyone can sign up for the Technical Alpha without needing to purchase the game, securing a spot in the test will require you to provide your PC specifications to the development team. Unfortunately, if your system does not meet the minimum requirements, you may not be selected to participate. The minimum specifications for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 include an AMD Ryzen 5 2600X or Intel Core i7-6800K processor, a Radeon RX 5700 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 graphics card, 4GB of VRAM, 16GB of RAM, at least 50GB of available storage, and a stable 10Mbps Internet connection.
