With less than two months remaining until its launch, pre-orders for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 are now available in the Microsoft Store. This latest installment of the beloved flight simulation series is set to release on November 19 for PC and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
According to an announcement on Xbox Wire, anyone who pre-orders any edition of the game will receive the De Havilland Canada CL-415 firefighting aircraft for instant use in the current version of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
Microsoft is providing four distinct editions of the game for virtual aviators to choose from. The Standard Edition, priced at $69.99, features 70 aircraft and 150 upgraded airports. Additionally, the Standard Edition will be available as a Day One release for subscribers of PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Unlimited.
The Deluxe Edition, costing $99.99, includes everything from the Standard Edition, plus 10 additional aircraft and five more airports. Furthermore, there will be a Premium Edition available for $129.99, which features all the content from the Standard and Deluxe editions along with 15 additional aircraft.
Lastly, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will introduce the Aviator’s Edition, priced at $199.99. This comprehensive version encompasses all the content from the other editions and adds 30 extra aircraft published between 2021 and 2024 for the 2020 edition, resulting in a total of 125 planes for virtual pilots to explore.
As previously highlighted, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is set to receive significant graphical enhancements along with an updated flight and physics engine. It will also present pilots with various aviation jobs and missions, such as air ambulance, VIP transport, aerial firefighting, and more. The game will even enable virtual pilots to exit their aircraft and explore their planes, helicopters, and other aerial vehicles.
