Microsoft’s November 2024 Patch Tuesday Updates

This week, Microsoft rolled out its Patch Tuesday updates for November 2024, including a range of fixes for both Windows 10 and Windows 11. The updates for Windows 10 comprise KB5046613, KB5046615, KB5046612, and KB5046665, while Windows 11 users can look forward to KB5046617 and KB5046633.

Key Fixes and Enhancements

The recent updates address several important issues. Specifically, the Windows 11 patch rectifies a frustrating bug in Task Manager that displayed the count of background and Windows processes as zero. On the Windows 10 front, the update resolves an issue preventing non-administrative users from launching essential applications such as Teams and Quick Assist.

Understanding Dynamic Updates

It’s noteworthy that during the upgrade process, Dynamic Update helps preserve Language Pack (LP) and Features on Demand (FODs) content. While these are not updates to LPs and FODs themselves, the reacquisition ensures users maintain these elements after the update completes.
