Microsoft Edge 135 Beta Launch: Key Updates and Features
Microsoft has rolled out Edge version 135 in the Beta Channel, marking the final phase of testing ahead of its Stable Channel release. This new version brings a host of enhancements aimed at improving user experience, particularly for commercial users, with a range of productivity-focused updates.
What’s New in Edge 135 Beta
Fixed various bugs and performance issues, alongside updates in the Dev channel, feature enhancements, policy modifications, and changes related to site compatibility.
Highlighted Features
- Redesign of Work Feed on New Tab Page (NTP): The Work Feed, tailored for Commercial users, will now boast a refreshed set of functionalities emphasizing productivity and Microsoft 365 modules. Importantly, the policies governing the new tab page remain unaffected by this updated Work Feed experience. Note that this feature will roll out gradually, so it may not be visible to all users immediately.
- Trending Suggestions in Address Bar: Microsoft Edge users will see Bing’s trending suggestions appear in the address bar dropdown when accessing the New Tab Page. Administrators have the ability to control this feature through the AddressBarTrendingSuggestEnabled policy.
- Enhanced Security for Edge for Business: The newly introduced authorized group settings in Microsoft Edge for Business ensure adherence to configurations for “Printer groups, ””Removable USB device groups, ”and “Network share groups”within the Microsoft Purview compliance portal. This enhancement protects against potential bypassing of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) protocols by users.

- AddressBarTrendingSuggestEnabled – Activates Microsoft Bing trending suggestions in the address bar.
- NewTabPageCompanyLogoBackplateColor – Customizes the company logo backplate color on the new tab page.
- PartitionedBlobUrlUsage – Manages Blob URL partitioning during fetching and navigation.
- WebRtcIPHandlingUrl – Establishes WebRTC IP handling policies for specific URL patterns.

Microsoft Edge 135 Beta also encompasses all recent improvements from the Dev Channel, including:
- Update to Dev Channel 135.0.3140.0
- Update to Dev Channel 135.0.3154.3
- Update to Dev Channel 135.0.3168.2
Availability
You can download Microsoft Edge 135 Beta directly from the official Edge Insider website. The stable version of Edge 135 is scheduled for release during the week of April 3, 2025.
