Microsoft Confirms Upcoming ‘Modern’ and Custom AI Themes for Outlook

Microsoft has been actively enhancing the New Outlook for Windows, focusing on improving its offline functionality. Users can expect the application to handle essential tasks without needing an internet connection, with better email synchronization upon its launch.

Recognizing the importance of the Outlook calendar, the tech giant is also integrating this feature into Teams, further enhancing user experience.

In addition to these improvements, Microsoft has announced an array of fresh themes for Outlook, including the innovative custom AI themes designed with the assistance of Copilot. According to the Microsoft 365 roadmap under feature ID 394682, the platform states:

Personalize your Outlook experience with themes crafted by Copilot, which will be available in the Settings menu.

Beyond the AI theme options, Outlook will introduce four new “Modern”themes. This addition has been referenced on the roadmap with feature ID 417004. These modern themes are expected to be compatible with both Outlook for Windows and the Outlook Web app. However, specific characteristics of these themes have yet to be disclosed.
