At the recent The Game Awards 2024, it was revealed that the highly anticipated title, The Outer Worlds 2, would simultaneously launch on PlayStation 5, reversing its initial exclusivity to Xbox and PC platforms as declared in 2021. This development further fuels speculation regarding Microsoft’s potential pivot away from a strict exclusivity model.
