Thanksgiving Update for Windows Insiders
As the Thanksgiving season approaches in the United States, Microsoft has announced a brief pause in the release of new preview builds for Windows 10 and 11. This week, Windows Insiders will not receive any updates to test, with the team taking time off to observe the holiday. Insiders are encouraged to return next week for further updates.

Important Updates on Windows Releases
This pause in preview builds aligns with Microsoft’s earlier decision to forgo non-security updates for Windows 10 and 11 during December. The updates released in November were confirmed as the final set for 2024. More detailed information regarding these updates can be found for Windows 11 version 24H2, Windows 11 version 23H2, and Windows 10 version 22H2.
Unlike the non-security updates, however, Windows Insider builds are set to resume post-Thanksgiving, anticipated to return promptly, rather than waiting until January 2025.
New Features and Known Issues
Amidst the holiday period, Microsoft has successfully introduced the long-awaited Recall feature before year-end 2024. Currently available for Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel with the latest build, Recall functions only on PCs equipped with Copilot and Snapdragon processors. For users with compatible devices, please be aware of existing known bugs that may affect performance.
