Microsoft addresses Wi-Fi connectivity issues in Surface Studio 2+

The latest firmware update has been released for Microsoft’s flagship Surface devices, the Surface Studio 2+ and its predecessor, the Surface Studio 2. This update fixes issues related to Wi-Fi dropouts under certain circumstances and includes crucial security patches.

Enhancements and fixes:

  • Addresses potential security vulnerabilities linked to Intel® Security Advisories INTEL-SA-00999, INTEL-SA-01083, and INTEL-SA-01071.
  • Resolves the issue that caused Wi-Fi connectivity to drop when the device was not connected to an Ethernet cable.

The Surface Studio 2+ will receive support until October 2, 2028. However, the Surface Studio 2 will no longer receive future firmware updates as of this month, marking the end of its support lifecycle.
