Microsoft 365 Copilot Users Can Now Access The Copilot Academy

In April, Microsoft initially launched Copilot Academy, designed to assist businesses and organizations in leveraging the generative AI assistant effectively. At that time, it was accessible solely to companies with a paid license for either Viva Learning or the Viva Suite.

Recently, Microsoft announced in a blog post that Copilot Academy is now accessible to a broader audience. Any business or organization holding a Microsoft 365 Copilot license can now take advantage of Copilot Academy.

Users can access Copilot Academy by signing into the Viva Learning website or by downloading and installing the Viva Learning app for Microsoft Teams. The service is available in multiple languages, including English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, and Chinese.

Furthermore, Microsoft has unveiled some exciting new features for Copilot Academy:

• Academy Content Updates and Refinement: We consistently evaluate the value and effectiveness of individual courses. New content will be added periodically as it becomes available, and we are committed to ensuring the provided materials are beneficial and of the highest quality.
• Copilot Academy Nudges (Scheduled for Q4 2024): These notifications within Teams will encourage new users to explore Copilot Academy and keep existing users informed about new updates on a monthly basis.

Currently, Copilot Academy offers the same features whether users possess a Microsoft 365 Copilot license or a paid Viva Learning license. However, in the near future, paid Viva Learning license holders will gain access to certain exclusive features in Copilot Academy. By the fourth quarter of 2024, admins will have the ability to duplicate and customize Copilot Academy to better align with a company’s specific requirements.

In the first quarter of 2025, paid Viva Learning users will have the capability to create multi-tiered learning paths for users of Copilot Academy.
