Michael Ilesanmi of 90 Day Fiancé Reveals His American Mentor in Surprising Announcement

Michael Ilesanmi, a notable figure from the popular reality series 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?, is expressing gratitude to an undisclosed American mentor as he marks his first year living in the United States following his separation from Angela Deem. Michael’s journey began when he arrived in the U.S. in December 2023 after enduring seven long years of pursuing a visa. His connection with Angela started back in 2017 when he reached out to her via Facebook while residing in Nigeria. Angela’s appearance in Before the 90 Days Season 2 facilitated their initial meeting, ultimately paving the way for Michael to achieve his American dream.

Initially, Michael lived with Angela in her Hazlehurst home for a span of two months. However, by February 2024, he left Georgia and relocated to Texas, where he has since been living with a newfound support system.

While Michael remains somewhat secretive about his friends in the U.S., they played a crucial role in his safe journey to Texas, allowing him to distance himself from Angela, whom he alleged had subjected him to mistreatment and abuse—a situation he found unbearable. Interestingly, despite their tumultuous relationship, both Michael and Angela seem to share a common admiration for President-elect Donald Trump. Recently, Michael shared a clip from 90 Day Fiancé on Instagram, featuring him declaring, “I’m coming to see you,” which he accompanied with the phrase, “Thank you my Business mentor” and tagged @realdonaldtrump in his story.

During Angela’s first trip to Nigeria, Michael received a Make America Great Again cap, which Angela playfully noted looked great on him. She also presented him with a t-shirt emblazoned with “Donald 2016 Trump Make America Great Again” and surprised him with a bobblehead. Michael was evidently enthusiastic about the gift, responding to Angela’s playful proclamation, “I’ll Trump you up” and recalling how he admired Trump’s message. In a subsequent visit to Nigeria, Angela even gifted Michael Donald Trump boxers.

Both Michael and Angela have shown strong support for Trump, which has been an interesting common ground post-separation. They publicly acknowledged their appreciation for him on social media after he postponed a TikTok ban, promoting the idea that tech companies should delay enforcing such restrictions. Michael feels especially relieved that the platform will remain active since TikTok plays a significant role in his life as an influencer.

Both Michael and Angela have successfully utilized their reality TV fame to become influencers, amassing a considerable following, particularly on TikTok. While Angela has long been vocal on social media, she previously restricted Michael’s online presence out of concern that he would encounter other women. Now, with less than a year since he began using TikTok, the platform’s potential shutdown posed a serious threat to his influencer prospects. With TikTok’s continuation in the U.S., Michael is vocal in his appreciation for his mentor, attributing his continued success to Trump’s influence.
