The final day of the 2024 Miami Open will showcase the finals for the men’s singles and women’s doubles events.
On the final day of play, the stadium court will see the women begin the matches. The American duo of Sofia Kenin and Bethanie Mattek-Sands will face off against second seeds Erin Routliffe and Gabriela Dabrowski. In 2015, Mattek-Sands and Lucie Safarova were victorious in the Miami doubles final, defeating Timea Babos and Yaroslava Shvedova.
The next event will be the much-awaited men’s singles finals featuring third seed Jannik Sinner and eleventh seed Grigor Dimitrov.
Sinner effortlessly advanced to his second consecutive final and third overall in Miami, defeating Daniil Medvedev with a dominant score of 6-1, 6-2 in the semi-finals.
Despite Carlos Alcaraz’s big win, Dimitrov continued to impress by defeating fourth seed Alexander Zverev 6-4, 6-7, (4), 6-4 in the semi-final clash.
Prior to their final, Sinner and Dimitrov have faced each other three times on tour. Sinner currently holds the advantage with a 2-1 lead in their head-to-head record and emerged victorious in their most recent meeting in Beijing.
