Metaphor ReFantazio Guide: Unlocking Bond Ranks and Abilities Explained

The latest offering from Sega and Atlus is Metaphor ReFantazio, a JRPG reminiscent of the beloved Persona series. Available on platforms such as PS4, PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X and S, this game invites players to explore an array of locations, including dungeons, cathedrals, and fortified cities within the fantasy realm of Euchronia.

The game features a follower system where various characters join the main hero throughout the storyline. Early in the game, players will meet one of these companions named More, whose relationship with the protagonist and unique skills make him an indispensable part of the team.

Below are the details of the Rank unlocks and associated rewards for More:

Rank 1: Unlocked on 6/5 upon defeating the Homo Gorleo boss. This unlocks the Seeker Archetype, granting the party the ability to study the Seeker Archetype, and enables Bright-Eyed Student, which allows for archetype switching once acquired in Akademia.

Rank 2: Gained after achieving Healer Rank 10 with any character. The rewards for unlocking Rank 2 are:

Seeker Enlightenment, which lowers the MAG cost for studying the Seeker Lineage.
Scion’s Skill, increasing skill inheritance slots for the Seeker Lineage to two.
More’s Magic Igniter, which allows access to the Archetype Tree from the Main Menu.

Rank 3: Unlocked by studying the Gunner archetype. This grants access to the Seeker Archetype: Adept, allowing the party to learn the Magic Seeker.

Rank 4: Unlocked after achieving Merchant Rank 15 with any character. This opens Ability Forecast, offering a preview of abilities for followers from the main menu.

Rank 5: Unlocked after studying 15 archetypes. This grants Scion’s Merit, enhancing skill inheritance slots for the Seeker Lineage to three.
