On August 28, 2025, the much-anticipated Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was officially released for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. However, players noted the absence of the promised multiplayer mode, Fox Hunt, at launch. Recent updates have shed light on this new mode, now accompanied by an exciting gameplay trailer.
Experience PvP Stealth Action
Fox Hunt enhances the core gameplay of Snake Eater by introducing a PvP stealth-action environment where players can fully utilize Snake’s advanced toolbox. This new mode pushes participants to employ stealth tactics, with the goal of becoming the ultimate Fox Unit operative.
Gameplay Modes: Survival Capture and Survival Intrude
In Fox Hunt, up to twelve players engage in thrilling matches set in immersive jungle environments, offering two distinct gameplay options:
- Survival Capture: Players compete to find and collect Kerotan Frogs before their opponents do.
- Survival Intrude: As the play area diminishes, players face off in a tactical showdown reminiscent of stealth-based battle royale games.

This newly introduced mode provides an enticing reason for players to revisit the richly crafted world of Snake Eater after completing the main narrative, which remains the standout feature of this remake. However, it’s noteworthy that Fox Hunt does not currently support crossplay, and there are no indications that such functionality will be implemented in the future.
The game has undergone meticulous refinement to meet modern gaming standards, artfully retaining its unique blend of quirky elements and some nostalgic “jank.”For fans and newcomers alike, there is truly no better way to experience the inaugural title in the Metal Gear Solid series.
