Conversely, the second division, titled the AGI Foundation Team, will tackle the ambitious directives of building general-purpose AI systems, as well as advancing Meta’s open-source large language models. This strategic bifurcation aligns with trends observed in other major tech firms like Google, Anthropic, and OpenAI, all of which are vigorously pursuing generative AI advancements.
