Meet Tejo: The New Valorant Agent Perfect for Explosives and Air Strike Enthusiasts

As we approach the 2025 season, Valorant has officially unveiled its latest agent, Tejo. This introduction marks a significant milestone as Tejo is the first Colombian character to join the roster, bringing an emphasis on explosive skills and area control to the game. Since its 2020 debut, Valorant has garnered remarkable success for Riot Games, remaining the studio’s only active title outside the League of Legends franchise. With the new season just around the corner, players are eagerly anticipating the gameplay mechanics associated with the 26th agent.

The recent gameplay reveal trailer showcased Tejo’s capabilities. As the seventh Initiator in Valorant, Tejo’s skill set is designed to enhance offensive strategies for teammates, leveraging his explosive abilities for area denial and crowd control. The addition of Tejo coincides with the release of the game’s 10.0 patch on January 8, providing players a chance to unlock this exciting new character. Furthermore, this season will introduce significant gameplay changes, including new cosmetic options and a complete restructuring of ranked seasons.

Tejo Brings Mass Explosive Action To Valorant

Valorant’s Newest Agent Is An Explosive Initiator

Tejo’s kit is crafted for tactical gameplay that disrupts enemy positions, creates space for allies, and allows for enhanced map control. His first ability, Special Delivery, empowers him to launch a grenade that adheres to the first surface it strikes, applying the Concussed status to any enemy caught in its blast radius. Alternatively, the grenade can be made to bounce once before impact using alternate firing. Tejo’s second ability, Stealth Drone, distinguishes itself from others by deploying a remote-operated drone capable of Suppressing and Revealing enemy locations.

The initiation sequence continues with Tejo’s third ability, Guided Salvo, which enables him to target and launch missiles at two specific locations on the map. Finally, Tejo’s ultimate ability, Armageddon, allows him to call forth an airstrike, marking the area of effect based on two fixed points he designates. While comparisons to fellow Initiator Breach’s arsenal are inevitable, Tejo’s unique characteristics—particularly his lack of flash capabilities—are anticipated to provide a distinct gameplay experience.

Valorant’s 2025 Season Is About To Start

Valorant’s Newest Season Is Making Major Changes To Its Ranked Structure

Starting January 8, Valorant will embark on a transformative phase with its 2025 season by overhauling the ranked play structure. The game will replace the previous six-month Episodes with a new year-long Season framework, posing questions about what this signifies for gameplay dynamics. Though a more detailed breakdown is still forthcoming, players can expect a rank reset at a “midseason moment,”as per the 10.0 Patch Notes. The updated structure will introduce six Acts, functioning similarly to the old system and facilitating soft rank resets alongside map rotations.

In addition to Tejo’s launch, the 2025 season is set to feature enhancements to matchmaking, a mobile version of Valorant, and a highly anticipated replay system, though these advancements are expected to roll out incrementally. With the fresh addition of Tejo and the restructured season, Valorant aims to maintain its momentum as it enters its fifth year in service.
