Maya Henry’s Book Bizarrely Predicts Liam Payne’s Death as He Hits Himself and Runs for the Balcony

Maya Henry, the former fiancée of Liam Payne, has released a book summary that intriguingly parallels the manner of his tragic death on October 16, 2021. Reports from local news indicated that the 31-year-old Payne lost his life after falling from the balcony of his hotel on the third floor in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

In her new release, Looking Forward, Maya Henry delves into the complicated dynamics of her allegedly toxic relationship with the singer. The novel narrates a fictional tale about a couple, Mallory and Oliver, although Henry has admitted in an interview with PEOPLE that much of the narrative draws from her real-life experiences. Henry has acknowledged a personal connection to the character of Mallory.

Following the news of Liam Payne’s death, social media users observed that sections of Henry’s book bear an uncanny resemblance to the circumstances surrounding the late One Direction member’s passing. Excerpts that have gone viral include:

“She gets him to calm down and lies with her in bed but he is quickly triggered into another fit. He starts hitting himself and runs for the balcony. He starts claiming he is going to kill himself. She wraps her arms around him but he pushes her back into the room and against the wall.”

Looking Forward follows Mallory, an aspiring model who falls for Oliver, a member of a former boy band, which many suggest is reflective of Liam Payne. The relationship presented in Henry’s novel shows striking similarities to her own interactions with Payne, as per AS. The story tackles various sensitive topics, including substance abuse, abortion, self-harm, domestic violence, and eating disorders.

Henry began dating Liam Payne in 2019 when she was just 18, while he was 26. The couple became engaged in 2020, but they parted ways the following year. They briefly reconciled before ultimately separating for good in 2022. Currently, Henry is pursuing a degree in Creative Writing at New York University.

“Is this normal behaviour to you?”- Maya Henry accuses Liam Payne of persistently trying to reach her after their 2022 breakup

A week prior to Liam Payne’s passing, Maya Henry reportedly directed her attorneys to send a cease-and-desist order to her ex-fiancé for allegedly using unusual methods to contact her.

During a recent TikTok session, Henry shared her experiences about ongoing harassment from Payne since their split in 2022. She expressed:

“Ever since we broke up he messages me, will blow up my phone, not only from his phone, it’s always from different phone numbers too, so I never know where it’s gonna come from.”

Henry elaborated that not only did Payne reach out to her, but he also contacted her mother, Azteca Henry.

“He’ll create new iCloud accounts to message me – it’s always a new damn iCloud account. Every time I see one pop up on my phone I’m like, ‘here we f***ing go again.’ Also, he will email me… not only me, but he’ll blow up my mom’s phone. Is this normal behaviour to you?,”she explained.

On the podcast The Internet is Dead, Henry also discussed her book, Looking Forward, stating that it was influenced by real-life events. The Texan model mentioned that while certain aspects were fictionalized, many experiences detailed in the book were actual events she endured.

Speculations have emerged among X users regarding the extent to which Henry’s novel reflects her relationship with Liam Payne, with several individuals quoting segments of the book that resonate closely with reports of the singer’s alleged disruptive behavior toward her.

Although Maya Henry has not confirmed the exact influences of her novel, Looking Forward, on her relationship with Liam Payne, she has shared insights into their past in an interview with PEOPLE during her book’s promotional period.

In a notable narrative within her book, the protagonist Mallory discovers she is expecting a child with Oliver. While she looks forward to motherhood, Oliver threatens to end their relationship if she chooses to keep the baby.

Oliver coerces her into terminating the pregnancy, and Mallory’s attempt leads to medical issues necessitating a hospital visit. During her interview, Henry revealed that this storyline mirrored her real-life experiences, saying:

“What I went through in real life is very similar to what Mallory went through in the book. I definitely did have some complications, and I did have to go to the hospital alone. If it were up to me, I wouldn’t have done it.”

She continued:

“But then also, if I were to have made a different decision, then I would’ve lost the person that I loved. There were definitely difficult conversations about it. But looking back now, things happen for a reason.”

Henry emphasized that her relationship with Liam Payne was not the fairytale many perceive. She explained:

“Every time I would tell people the story [of how we met], they would always say, ‘Oh my God, it’s like a fairytale, it’s like a movie.’ I feel like I had to put that in the book and take that inspiration because it just doesn’t seem real.”

She added:

“I just became so desensitized to everything going on that I was like, ‘OK, this is my relationship, and this is how it’s going to be.’ And I feel like once you get out of [it], you’re really like, ‘Oh my gosh, what was I doing, and why was I there?’”

In the wake of Liam Payne’s passing, representatives for Henry informed the Daily Mail that the model is “obviously in shock”following the heartbreaking news.
