Set after the conclusion of WandaVision, Vision Quest will explore the journey of the reimagined Vision, last seen confronting his original self during the series finale. According to a report from Deadline, Vision will encounter Raza, the notorious antagonist from the original Iron Man. Faran Tahir is set to reprise his role, having previously portrayed this character in the critically acclaimed 2008 film. Raza, the leader of a terrorist group, is responsible for abducting Tony Stark, which ultimately prompted the invention of the Iron Man suit.

Tahir’s diverse career spans numerous roles in science fiction, including appearances in Star Trek and Elysium. His television credits are equally impressive, having featured in acclaimed series such as The Old Man, 12 Monkeys, Scandal, Prison Break, Supergirl, Criminal Minds, Elementary, and alongside James Spader in The Blacklist.

In an exciting twist, it has been hinted that other deceased villains may also resurface, with rumors suggesting Spader’s Ultron could play a role in Vision Quest. However, the specifics regarding Ultron’s return remain unclear, much like Raza’s involvement. Raza met his end in the first Iron Man at the hands of Obadiah Stane, who conspired to eliminate Stark while concealing his own ulterior motives. Had Raza and his crew executed their plan as intended, the legacy of Iron Man might have never materialized.

Vision Quest has endured a tumultuous development journey, having been in the works for Disney+ since 2022, officially transitioning to series status in May. As fans eagerly await further announcements, Paul Bettany is confirmed to return in the titular role. Although a precise release date is still pending, the series is projected to premiere sometime in 2026.
