For numerous fans, farewell to the vibrant island of Krakoa and embracing this new chapter has proven to be a challenging transition. Recently, Tom Brevoort, Marvel’s Senior Editor overseeing the X-Office, unveiled a previously discarded pitch for X-Force, which could rekindle some nostalgic sentiments among Krakoa enthusiasts.

In a detailed post on his Substack, Brevoort provided insights into the initial concepts for various X-titles, shedding light on how some diverged from the final interpretations that fans discovered through the “From the Ashes”relaunch. Among these, X-Force stood out due to its unique premise, which was centered around a “Krakoa Mossad”defending their homeland against external threats.
