When we were designing the Avengers Academy, we wanted to create a character who would not be a legacy but a reclamation. Historically, the Juggernaut represents a crisis in masculinity. In crafting Justin, I envisioned a character who contrasts with Cain: confident, secure in his identity, gentle, and empathetic. He encounters challenges, yet he approaches life as a compassionate and well-meaning individual.

He is a hero; he is rugged; and above all, he is a genuinely good person – the finest type of character I have ever had the pleasure of creating.
