One of the standout features in Marvel Rivals is the ability to customize your gaming experience. Players are eagerly embracing new skins and expressing their individuality through various emotes and sprays. With the upcoming Winter Celebration event introducing the special Jeff the Land Shark Cuddly Fuzzlefin spray, many are curious about how to utilize these fun features within the game.
In this guide, I will walk you through the steps to effectively use emotes and sprays in Marvel Rivals.
Using Emotes in Marvel Rivals
To start using emotes, you first need to select your favorite hero and equip the desired emote. Begin at the main screen by clicking on the “Heroes” option, followed by selecting your preferred character—Hawkeye, for instance.
Next, click on “Cosmetics” at the top of the screen, and then select “Emotes.” Here, you’ll see all available emotes, including ones yet to be unlocked.
Once your emote is equipped, it’s time to use it in-game. If you’re playing on a keyboard, simply press and hold the “T” key. Controller users should utilize the left D-Pad. This action will open up a social menu for emotes and sprays.
Position your mouse over the emote you want to use, and release the key or button. Your character will then perform the emote in-game!
Utilizing Sprays in Marvel Rivals
Now, let’s explore how to use sprays in Marvel Rivals.
As with emotes, ensure you have your preferred sprays selected beforehand. The selection menu displays all available sprays, including the special rewards earned from reaching significant user milestones.
During gameplay, hold the “T” key or the left D-Pad on your controller to access your spray options.
Release the button, and your selected spray will be displayed on the appropriate surface directly in front of you!
It’s important to note that only one spray can be active at a time. Additionally, if there is no wall or obtrusive object in your way, you can apply the spray directly onto the ground.
Unlocking Emotes and Sprays
Before you can use any emotes or sprays, you need to unlock them. This process is straightforward. While in the cosmetics menu associated with your hero, any emotes or sprays you have acquired will be highlighted, while those you have yet to unlock will appear dimmed with a lock symbol.
If you click on a locked item, it will display information along with an “Acquire” button. Clicking this button will provide details on how to purchase the emote or spray, typically available through in-game bundles.
