Marvel Rivals Introduces Zombies-Themed PvE Mode Launching on October 23

Exciting New PvE Mode Coming to Marvel Rivals

NetEase has announced a thrilling addition to its free-to-play multiplayer game, Marvel Rivals. On October 23, players can look forward to the debut of a brand new Player vs. Environment (PvE) mode inspired by the recent Marvel Zombies animated series. This series consists of four episodes and became available on Disney+ on September 24.

Unleash Your Heroes Against the Undead

In a video announcement, Marvel Games Executive Producer Danny Koo detailed the exciting features players can expect from this new mode:

In this Marvel Zombies inspired mode, you get to play as Thor, Blade, Magik, Jeff the Land Shark, and The Punisher, taking on endless waves of zombies. You’ll have to survive the Horde, go toe-to-toe with zombie Namor and the Queen of the Dead as bosses and fight to save the world from getting totally zombified. We have also given each hero some unique abilities. Charge through the hordes as Jeff, slice and dice with Blade’s bouncing Moon Blades, shock zombies with Thor in his persistent Awakened state. Or go berserk as Magik in her unlimited Darkchild form. Showcase your epic combat skills against the zombie swarms and tough bosses.

Players will engage in thrilling battles against relentless zombie hordes and formidable bosses, including zombie Namor and the Queen of the Dead. Unique abilities empower heroes like Jeff and Blade to deliver devastating attacks, while Thor can harness his powers to disrupt the undead menace.

Previous Updates and Season Highlights

Marvel Rivals is currently amid its Season 4.5: “Heart of the Dragon”, which recently launched and included the highly anticipated cross-platform progression feature, allowing players to carry their progress across different platforms. This season also introduced Daredevil as the 43rd playable character. Known as a combo-centric Duelist, he excels in mobility and teamwork, especially with his ability to form a formidable duo with The Punisher.
