Mark Coleman shares two-word reaction to the idea of UFC needing a change of gloves
Mark Coleman, like numerous other fighters, holds the belief that the UFC should alter their gloves.
In recent years, there has been significant scrutiny surrounding the UFC’s gloves, and for valid reasons. This past weekend, fans were reminded of the contentious nature of the topic, as Chris Weidman secured a win against Bruno Silva, leading to heavy controversy.
Despite the All-American wrestler’s initial third-round knockout victory, the bout was later overturned to a technical decision due to Weidman’s repeated pokes to Silva during the finishing sequence. This led to a swift outcry for the UFC’s gloves to be changed once more.
During a recent interview, UFC welterweight contender Matt Brown voiced his support for altering the company’s gloves. ‘The Immortal’ expressed confusion over why this issue has persisted for so long without any changes being made.
In the comments section of the Instagram post featuring the interview, Coleman shared his thoughts. As a former UFC heavyweight champion, ‘The Hammer’ responded with two words in agreement to Brown’s suggestion of changing the gloves.
According to Coleman, he wrote:
“Yes sir”
Below, take a look at Mark Coleman’s comment:
Mark Coleman announces attendance at UFC 300 event this month
Mark Coleman will be able to witness one of the UFC’s largest events this month from the front row.
‘The Hammer’ is highly revered within the MMA community. In addition to his successful career as a fighter, Coleman is known for his exceptional generosity and kind-hearted nature. This was demonstrated last month when his family experienced a tragic house fire.
After being awakened by his dog, the ex-UFC champion Coleman quickly sprang into action when he realized a fire had broken out. He successfully saved his parents from the flames, but unfortunately, sustained injuries during his attempt to rescue his dog, who ultimately did not survive. As a result, Coleman had to spend several days in the hospital.
Despite spending several days in the hospital, Coleman made a speedy recovery and was spotted in the gym recently, training alongside Matt Brown. Despite all that he has endured, Max Holloway has invited Coleman to be the guest of honor at his ‘BMF’ fight against Justin Gaethje at UFC 300.
The UFC has agreed to fly Coleman to Las Vegas later this month. Although it is uncertain if he will play a role in Holloway’s fight against ‘The Highlight’, this gesture from the company is still commendable.
