Mark Coleman reacts to Max Holloway wanting ‘The Hammer’ to present the BMF belt at UFC 300
Max Holloway is a dedicated fan of Mark Coleman and recently suggested to the UFC that he present the ‘BMF’ championship to the winner of the Hawaiian’s upcoming fight with Justin Gaethje. This interview has gained considerable traction, not only among fans but also catching the attention of Coleman himself.
The renowned MMA fighter made an appearance in the comments of an Instagram post featuring a quote from Holloway. ‘Blessed’ praised ‘The Hammer’ as a true embodiment of a ‘BMF,’ an abbreviation for ‘Baddest Motherf***er,’ characterizing a genuine, fearless, and resilient fighter admired for these traits.
“The only correct answer is Mark Colema… The guy’s a G. That’s a real life BMF. That would be sick if he (wrapped the belt around the winner at UFC 300). It would be an honor to get him to do it.”
Despite being present at UFC 300, Coleman’s response to Holloway’s request was brief and simple, as he reacted with a heart emoji in the comment section without any other words. It is uncertain if the UFC will grant Holloway’s request.
In the past, Jorge Masvidal, the original BMF champion, made a special request for Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to present him with the platinum belt. Despite not being involved in MMA, ‘The Rock’ fulfilled Masvidal’s request, as the UFC had agreed. On the other hand, Coleman is a renowned legend credited for introducing the ground-and-pound technique to the sport.
Moreover, he holds the distinction of being the inaugural UFC heavyweight champion, defeating fellow UFC legend Dan Severn for the title. Despite beginning his career in 1996, he remained an active fighter until 2010, when a combination of a decline in performance and advancing age ultimately led to his retirement.
Local Hero Saves Family from Devastating House Fire
Max Holloway commended Mark Coleman for his recent act of heroism in saving his elderly parents from a house fire, which resulted in him being hospitalized for smoke inhalation. The MMA community rallied around Coleman and showed their support for his brave actions, which could have potentially put his life at risk.
Witness Mark Coleman hugging his loved ones at the hospital:
Despite his efforts to save the family dog, a Rottweiler named ‘Hammer,’ he was unable to do so. The fire resulted in the loss of his home, but he was able to rescue his parents and has since recovered from the smoke inhalation that had landed him in the hospital.
